Clearing an Online Poker Bonus with Time Constraints |
 |
|
There's nothing better than finding a nice juicy online poker bonus. A match bonus that essentially doubles your deposit is great news for your bankroll. Even those offering 15 or 20 percent of your deposit can help your positive expectation. One thing you need to keep in mind when clearing the online poker bonus though, is time constraints. How Do Time Constraints Affect Your Bonus? When you make your deposit with a bonus code, the bonus money goes into a bonus account, for release when you meet the play requirements. This money will not be there forever. You will notice an expiration date on your bonus. If you have failed to clear the bonus by this date, your bonus money will disappear. Even if you only need to play five or ten more hands to clear it, you will get nothing. How Can You Beat the Time? Don't make your deposit until you are ready to play. If you don't think you'll have time for more than a few hands in the coming week, save your code for a period when you know you'll have some concentrated poker time. Make sure your bankroll is large enough for you to meet the play requirement. If you have a positive expectation, have enough in your bankroll to beat the typical variance of your game. If you don't, or you don't know, try to have 500 big blinds or more in your bankroll. If this is not possible, consider going down in stakes while you try to clear. Other Notes on the Time Constraints Keep an eye on that expiration date. If you're getting close, you may have to step up your play. You can also make another deposit in order to clear the bonus if you run out of money from the first deposit. This will not affect the size of your bonus in any way. |
